I believe those were just about the same numbers that said they wouldn't vote for Reagan, either.
I don’t remember Reagan saying things dealing with communion that apparently upset evangelicals.
And I don’t remember Reagan being at less than 40% support, with well over 50% not supporting him, announcing and dropping the not supporting him percentage by around 15% and then later squandering it and going back up to 60% saying they would not vote for him.
