The internals finding that 6 in 10 would not vote for him, most Republicans don’t consider him to represent the party’s core values (although he is very strong on dealing with border security), and with 3 in 10 Republicans saying they would not vote for him is quite telling.
Cruz in 2016...
I’m not sure he could take Utah.
McCain won the nomination in 2008 with just 33% of the primary vote.
Cruz voted for the Corker bill. Only Tom Cotton voted against it. Everyone talks about how smart he is. Then, I assume he knew how damaging the Corker bill is to America.
It took away the Senate’s right to kill the Iran-Obama treaty. It pretends the president has the right to make this treaty by executive order. The Republicans refused to take on the President.
You remember what Lincoln said about Grant? "He fights." Grant made a lot of mistakes, disagreed with Lincoln on a lot of things, but they agreed on the primary thing, winning.
You watch if it's Trump or Hillary how many of those "6 in 10" shift.
Anyone here know the Republican Party’s core values?
“...with 3 in 10 Republicans saying they would not vote for him is quite telling.”
That is amazing if you listen to Karl Rove. He would insist it is 7 our to 10. A 70% affirmation from Republicans this early is quite good.
“....does not represent the Republican Party’s core values,...”
Because CLEARLY, John Boehner and Mitch McConnel represent those “core values” SO well...
Not sure the GOP HAS any “core values” anymore... unless caving in to democrats is one....
Core values of the GOP? What is that? Cream in a donut?
