Only the final day of polling came after reporting of his comments on McCain’s military background. His numbers for that day were significantly lower.
I wonder what the poll would have showed if this comment and been made on Thursday. BYW, reports are that evangelicals were not at all pleased with his comments about communion.
A past poll showed that less than 40% supported him, with well over 50% saying they would not vote for him. That was lowered to 41% not supporting him, and 40% supporting him after he announced he was running for the office of prtesident.
Now it is back up to 6 in 10 saying they will not vote for him.
In a sample that small, probably +/- 50%.
Don't read too much into that reported number (first, we don't even know if they are telling the truth).
We'll have a decently accurate picture with the next nationwide poll.
