Yet after 1994 and Newt took over the House the GOP lowered them dramatically and Bill had to swallow it. Then he took credit for the infusion of money to the treasury.
Just like he fought welfare reform until he was told by Dick Morris that he’d probably lose in 1996 if he didn’t back the issue. At the DNC convention he said “he’d fix it” after he signed it but once it was VERY successful he took credit for it all and his sychofants followed along.
