Not all vets will support Trump. Remember the veterans standing on the stage with Kerry. I don’t understand them. I’m a vet and I despise both of them.
You certainly have a point. A few contrarians I think I already did hear about.
Thankfully, there has been no veteran pile on against Trump in this particular case where McCain is involved. I think the context where his remark was injected is something most people can accept. And again thankfully, there is video of how benign his words were, in the context of what Trump was complaining about.
Two of the Viet vets on the stage at the Democratic National Convention with Kerry DID NOT SERVE with him as they claimed. They lied and it took many years to get a confession out of them (that was not widely reported in the MSM). Alston and the other fellow both suffered serious enough wounds (Alston, head), to be sent to a major trauma field hospital in the Delta before being sent to Japan for further treatment, all before Kerry took over command of PC 94.
The rest of his crew was either against him or declined to make any statement.
Kerry’s Viet vet aide Wade Sanders went to jail for about 5 years on a child pornography charge.
Most vets don’t like Kerry and many just plain hate him for his self-promotion and lies.
They rest of us don’t like him because he’s a damned traitor.
