Why don't parent(s) teach their sons to never initiate physical confrontations with the police?
Create such high intensity situations and there is now way of knowing what will happen. But, of course, the police have to make perfect, millisecond decisions at every stage of a confrontation and the thugs have no responsibility at all to act reasonably.
If the kid was smart enough to want to be a doctor, he should have been smart enough not to start a fight with the police.
Blacks have been conditioned to believe cops (especially white cops) kill blacks without cause. Consequently they think they have a better chance to live by fighting. This conditioning becomes more ingrained in young people whenever a cop kills or beats down a black person without cause.
