I am a senior citizen, retired military, and unfortunately now a Medicare card holder. One doctor asked if I owned any firearms, I said NO. If it comes up later, I will swear he said “tire irons”.
They never asked me that. I think the question they are supposed to ask if if there are any unsecured firearms about, but it’s none of their business, anyway. “Tire irons”, I like that.
In the past 19 years, we have been asked at least twice if there were any “firearms” in our home. The first time was when I was in labor with my first.(I made a comment back that female freepers would enjoy but male freepers would cringe). The second time was when my husband was scheduling a colonoscopy.. the doctor asked him over and over about firearms. Finally, my husband said “Doctor, I swear to you that you won’t find a gun up my a##”. Deny, deny, deny and deny.
In Texas, have not had one Dr. ask anything about guns. First one that does is not going to appreciate my response.
