More than half the new driver's licenses issued in California during the first six months of the year have gone to immigrants in the country illegally, the state Department of Motor Vehicles reported.
Immigrants received 397,000 of the 759,000 original driver's licenses issued in California since the January beginning of a new law aimed at providing licenses to those not legally in the country but who can document their identity and California residency.
“The latest numbers reflect the continued successful implementation of AB 60,” said DMV Director Jean Shiomoto. “The DMV was determined to develop a process that would not only meet the stringent requirements of this new law, but also the unique needs of our newly expanded customer base.”

Perhaps it’s time to reconsider California’s statehood. If it is effectively becoming part of Mexico, then perhaps we should just make it official. We sell Mexico the rights to the coastal strip stretching from Humboldt County to Los Angeles, while conservative eastern California (Inyo, Modoc, etc.) gets to merge with Arizona/Nevada, what have you. The pieces in-between we can decide over a friendly game of cards.
Obviously, I’m joking a bit here. But I bet you there’s some folks in eastern California that wouldn’t mind being part of Nevada or Arizona right now.
I heard that over half of illegals freed by odumbi had been stopped for DUI.

If I were an examiner, I GUARANTEE no illegal would ever pass. Of course that wouldn't stop them from driving, and killing Americans.
•The data provided to the House Judiciary Committee by DHS includes 276,412 records of charges against illegal and criminal immigrants identified by Secure Communities between October 27, 2008 and July 31, 2011. There are 159,286 unique individuals in the database and 205,101 unique arrest incidents.
•Of those released, CRS found that about 17% of illegal and criminal immigrants, or 26,412, were rearrested on criminal charges. These 26,412 recidivists accounted for a total of 42,827 arrests and 57,763 alleged violations.

•The categories of crimes charged include nearly 8,500 DUI (14.6%), over 6,000 Drug Violations (10.9%), more than 4,000 Major Criminal Offenses (7.1%), which includes murder, assault, battery, rape, and kidnapping, nearly 3,000 Theft (4.9%), and over 1,000 Other Violent Crimes (2.1%), which includes carjacking, child cruelty, child molestation, domestic abuse, lynching, stalking, and torture.
•These crimes committed by both illegal and legal immigrants include 59 murders, 21 attempted murders, and 542 sex crimes.
•Of those rearrested, nearly 30%, or 7,283, were illegal immigrants. Since 46,734 illegal immigrants were released, this means they have a recidivism rate of 16%. These illegal immigrants should have been deported but the Obama administration’s lax immigration policies released them back into our communities.

That’s a lot of drunks out there driving around. I guess we’ll be seeing a pretty good increase in the number of Americans killed by Mexican National drunk drivers. We sure could use some “comprehensive” drunk illegal alien driver reform in this joint.

Customers applying for an original driver license will need to do the following:
• Study for the driver license knowledge test
• Make an appointment before visiting a DMV office (walk-ins are only accepted at our Driver License Processing Centers)
• Complete a driver license application form (DL 44) available at the DMV office
• Under AB 60, applicants will need to provide DMV with Proof of Identity and California Residency
Applicants must also do the following:
• Pass a vision test, knowledge test, and if applicable, a road sign test
• Give a thumb print
• Have a picture taken
• Schedule a future appointment for the behind-the-wheel driving test, if applicable**
**Note, no proof of insurance is required until the “behind-the-wheel driving test” is taken. Any bets how many come back for that at all and for those that do, how many used forged proof of insurance.
