'Heroes should be protected':
Daily Mail ^ | 7/18/15 | MIA DE GRAAF

A man is standing guard at military recruitment centers in Virginia armed with a rifle. It is a symbolic protest against the ban on weapons in such buildings after the Chattanooga shooting on Thursday, when a gunman killed four Marines and a sailor, and wounded another Marine. Urging passers-by to join his cause, the unnamed vigilante became one of a growing body of voices - including Republican presidential candidates Jeb Bush, Scott Walker and Donald Trump - to demand that service men and women have the right to bear arms. 'People need to call their congressmen, they need to call their senators, and they need to change the laws on the books so these guys can protect themselves,' the man told WTTG-TV.

It is absolutely insane to advertise that recruitment centers are gun-free zones. It is an invitation to terrorists and left wing nuts.

How many attacks on people at recruitment centers and military bases have there been since this nonsense began? How many deaths. I haven’t kept count, but this sure isn’t the first time.

And Obama quietly smiles and publicly ignores it.

Well, here’s an article describing four such attacks, although I suspect there have been more:

Our military is not all necessarily heroes, but they ARE volunteers, a position more exalted than "hero" because many "heroes" don't choose to do whatever deems them "hero"

Every minuteman .... er ..... volunteer chooses

I sincerely hope this patriot does not fall victim to a anti-gun-crank alerting 911 to a “man with a gun.”

He should have called the police himself first,to tell them who he was and what he would be doing.

Noticed one pic caption reads: "The unnamed vigilante patrolled Virginia centers armed with a rifle to draw attention to the issue"

[Sometimes it takes vigilantes.]

I can carry but our warriors can’t. What’s wrong with that picture?
