I’m all for those Marines carrying but they were shot from outside their office. It seems it was rapid fire and they were hit before they knew what was happening. Now if the guy came into their office perhaps they would have had a better chance >if< they were allowed to carry.
I entirely agree, it wouldn't have made a difference during the attack. But would they have been a target to begin with? Rarely do these guys purposefully target an armed target.
However, The mooselimb went to the recruitment center first. The soldiers there were forced to crawl out the back door. If a couple of them would have had side arms, I’ll guarantee they wouldn’t have crawled any where, and could have killed this A-hole before he got to the NOS, and killed 4 Marines.
Disgraceful that our soldiers can’t protect themselves at home.
