The whole expanded universe in all those books is no longer canon, it’s now called “Legacies” or something, a separate continuity. The new movies will have a totally different plot. Hopefully Chewie won’t buy the farm.
There have been a lot of books that mapped out the characters lives for, well the rest of their lives, for decades after “Jedi”. So the choice was adapt something, or ignore the books.
Anyway, you guys are right, Bichelle is a Star Trek salt monster. I apologize for my raccis remarks about Wookies. I was bitten by one as a child and I still cross the street whenever a Wookie is walking towards me. I know most Wookies are noble so I will make a 20 dollar donation to the NAAWP to make up for this “soft bigotry” or whatever they call it.
