Everybody knows the deal with Iran is a disaster. Why is equally obvious: Iran will get $150 billion to spend on weapons and its terrorist proxies, will keep its enrichment facilities, will continue to develop missiles, will easily avoid the laughably pusillanimous inspections regime, and will end up a nuclear power with malign consequences for the stability of the Middle East.

Only the delusional actually believe this “deal” will prevent or delay Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. The deal leaves Iran’s nuclear infrastructure essentially intact, functional and unmolested. Pakistan with a much more rudimentary nuclear apparatus quickly assembled nuclear weapons when suddenly confronted with a nuclear India. Obama’s legacy will be that the bizarre, apocalyptic, medieval mullahs will obtain nuclear weapons.
But nobody is bringing up a paternity suit.
Like the Jimmy Carter deal that effectively booted the Shah of Iran out and opened the door to the Ayatollah Khomeini, another huge mischief that will reverberate trough the coming decades was unleashed upon us. And the American Embassy was one of the very first casualties of that brilliant scheme.
The fortunate part of that outcome is that it led almost inevitably to the demise of the last scrap of credibility that the Carter Administration had left, and opened the way to allowing Ronaldus Magnus to assume the Presidency.
What if our President had been up to no good in Libya?
What if Libya was all about stealing Qadaffi’s wealth?
And our enemies found out about it.
Could they blackmail our President?
Surely he has the intelligence and courage and morality to do the right thing.
