ICE MOUNTAINS, yahooooo!

Ice means water. Water means oxygen.
Water, oxygen, hydrocarbons, basic building blocks of the universe. They are everywhere.
The comments section is out of this world moronic.
Heard on the science channel that it is taking more than 500 images and that they also will be transmitted back to earth over a period of many months.
Very cool stuff!
It sure looks like a planet to me.
With all the lunacy in Washington, it’s nice to know America can still do one or two things right.

I read the article and I am curious as always...Are we seeing raw or enhanced imaging? I love the NASA image of the day with all the enhancements and color imagery added, but being the science nerd I am... I prefer raw data. At least NASA is doing something besides global warming these days..
So Pluto is a planet again? Or maybe a binary planet system..
Super cool mountains.
Having watched the NASA briefing yesterday, a small point, but a big one, was that Pluto has NO impact craters, but Charon does.
Another point was that Charon looks something like Saturn’s small moon Encaladus, and is also geologically active, as is Pluto.
The huge chasm on Charon is awesome. I wonder what caused it.
