Actually it doesn’t. I don’t know the details of this sentence, but normally inmates get credit for two days with each day of good behavior. There are always exceptions, but this guy will probably be out in less than 30. Not like that is a cake walk in Leavenworth.
That has not been true for years. Military members sentenced to prison go to the Disciplinary Barracks at Ft. Leavenworth where they stay while their appeals work their way through the military courts. When the final appeal is finished, they are discharged and then transferred to the federal prison system where they fall under the rules and procedures for parole as all other federal prisoners.
