This is outrageous
Yeah when I was in sometimes at sea we were lucky to get lunch. Every darned meal had rice included in it also. The food wasn't that great but we did have several ice cream machines on the mess decks which was good if you were in a hurry. My shop had the walk in cooler keys though. We had an unoffical kitchen :>}
At sea most persons would burn the calories then some and for many hydration is very important as well. I didn't drink the milk I drank the Bug Juice. Bug Juice as we called it {Powdered juice} was good for everything. The cooks used it to clean the grills with.
At sea the Wookie Diet will be a huge morale buster. In port or on shore duty it will be nonenforceable because other food venues will be chosen.
Now why yet again are they messing with the uniforms? This seems to almost be a once every administration event. Back in my time in we were happy to get rid of the officer variant dress blues and got our functional Crackerjacks back. That was in late 1979. Our working uniform on ship was blue jeans and a blue work shirt or an acceptable pair of coveralls. The jeans were multi functional because they were an important part of water survival if you went overboard. Bluejeans can become a life preserver by tieing the ends of the legs shut and, grabbing the jeans by the waste and sling them waste end first into the water. An air pocket formed in the legs.
I believe everyone in the Obama administration and now a majority of congress are hell bent on destroying both our nation and our military. As of late they have stepped up the pace.
Sailors are smart they'll get around the Wookie diet plan simply by stowing a cache of food. We didn't have diet restrictions and we still did as much everyone from E-1 through officers ranks did. You couldn't depend on the ships store and when you had time to go there it would be closed.
