“any “stage rednecks” still got a backbone?”

Only the ones from Michigan...

Ted Nugent and Kid Rock have teamed up to record a song in support of the Confederate flag. The song, titled “Kiss My Rebel Ass,” was reportedly written and recorded in the space of a day after Nugent, seeing that Kid Rock had invited anyone protesting his use of the flag at his concerts to “kiss my ass,” reached out to express his support via text message. “When you get a text from the Nuge, you know you’ve done something right,” laughed Rock during a joint appearance the two made on WWJ Newsradio 950. Added Nugent, “Rock ‘n’ roll ain’t supposed to be nice — it’s supposed to hit you upside the head with a tire iron, and that is exactly what this song does.”

If the black men weren’t committing a crime they would have never come in contact with the Police , why do they always over look this

Because in a neighborhood where other people commit crimes, people who don't can easily get caught in the crossfire or mistaken for criminals.

I guarantee that these rock & roll musicians and Hollywood are going to play a huge role is convincing us all to the following the Antichrist and worship his image...

Daniel 3: 1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. 2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. 3 Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up ; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 4 Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded , O people, nations, and languages, 5 That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp * , sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up : 6 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

Petty pandering to the liberal left in hopes of salvaging a dead career. Mr. Petty, I always thought you were overrated anyway. I never realized you were a fool too.

Aging rock idiots on parade.

Hypnotic Eye (2014) debuted #1 on the Billboard charts. I've always loved Petty's music and I generally don't look to entertainers for political wisdom, so I'm seldom disappointed.

He's got his name in the headlines again and that's a win for him.

I want to know when he's going to apologize for the top hat.

His whole excuse “I was just playing a character in that one song,” is full of b.s.

It wasn’t just that one song. It was that song, the song “Southern Accents,” album art, the tour, a live album from the tour, a DVD of the live album and various items of clothing, all sporting the flag.

I would have had some respect for him if he had just said “yeah, I used the flag in the past because I’m from the South, but now I think racists have co-opted it and so I won’t ever again.” At least reasonable people could disagree on that.

Instead he’s trying to rewrite his history.
