James Craig would be a fine mayor of Detroit.
Dave Bing was a good enough guy but was too old to fight the city council. Mike Duggan is a mixed bag. He’s a pro business guy but he’s white and constantly trying to avoid being called a racist.
Craig has fire in the belly. He even managed to shame Mike Duggan into visiting with the Utash family and the armed nurse who saved Steve Utash.
A friend of mine said it best. McNamara is the Boss Daley of Wayne County.
