Remembering the “Wine Cooler” craze of the ‘80s. Gallo Winery got a good price for really ordinary (close to unsalable) wine by mixing it with flavored soas and advertising Bartles & Jaymes. Commecial success until the US Govt. raised the alcohol tax from $.17/gal to $1.07/gal in 1991.

Relatively safe drink in moderation unless some evil ass makes it part of a punch with straight spirits. Can you say hammer the anvil and hug the throne?

Would those straight spirits happen to be Everclear?

That brings back memories --- no idea how many braincells I killed in college with Everclear and kool-aid. Entire semesters of Calculus, Probability & Stats and more just GONE from my memory banks.
