An older couple walking on Sawyer Avenue in the Little Village neighborhood slowed as they approached the red police tape, and their eyes met those of two young officers standing inside the crime scene.
"Pasale, pasale," the officers said to the couple. "Pass."
They ducked under the tape and stayed on the sidewalk, away from a cluster of shell casings and shattered glass.
A 21-year-old man had been gunned down there. He was the 32nd person shot -- and the sixth killed -- over the weekend. In all, 10 were shot between Sunday afternoon and early Monday morning, nine more on Saturday night and another 13 on Friday night.
At least 135 more people have been shot in Chicago so far this year than last year, according to data analyzed by the Chicago Tribune. There have been 1,419 people shot in Chicago through this past weekend compared with 1,284 during the same time last year.

I don’t believe they get the numbers right I will bet they are way off. I know of someone who works a hospital in Chiraq and the shootees buddies just drop them off at the hospital and take off. I’m not sure they get counted, maybe they do but I wouldn’t doubt Chicago’s crooks skip counting the self admitted.

The ones dropped off with bullet holes in them (who are conscious) invariably make 2 statements:
I got no idea who shot me
I got no idea why I was shot
Guess those are all over Chicago.

Looks nice. We are from GA and currently traveling in western NC where we have seen more Confederate flags in several days than in several years. I guess the lunatic left never expected Southerners to fight back. Bad mistake.

If we used population to equalize things we get:
Baltimore 16 dead, 40 shot over the weekend.
Chicago 6 dead, 26 wounded over the weekend
It appears the Mayor of Baltimore is giving the folks too much space.
I don’t understand why we post these weekly chicago shooting stories. Unless one of these shootings was by a white guy being monkey stomped by a mob of ten teens, the lives do not matter.
Little Village and Pilsen are quite simply colonies of Mexico. The only time you will hear English spoken in either town is when some poor schlub takes a wrong turn and ends up there, and asks, “Where the f**k am I?” The Mexican flag is predominantly displayed in Little Village and Pilsen. Candidates in Mexican elections come up from Mexico to campaign in Little Village and Pilsen.
