Labels mean things.

They are all encompassing words which quickly define who and what it is we are talking about. RINO is a very good example.

MORRISEY doesn’t like labels because we can accurately classify him, and others like him, with only a word or two.

He’d prefer to be a chameleon.

People who think to control the language - who, like the socialists of the 1920s who applied the term “liberal” to socialism - have contempt for the people who, they warn, should "never argue with someone who buys ink by the carload.”

When someone says, “no labels,” I hear the meaning, “Shut up.”
And I don’t consider that I should have to.
