I think you may be right. I don’t know how he carried Wisconsin and a recall attempt but he doesn’t come across as electric and exciting. We need a guy who will light ‘em up. To me that’s Trump.

I’m sick and tired of the Left coming out of their corner and blasting the Right to smithereens. Maybe that’s what I love about Trump. He’s not going to take any sh&%$! from anyone. I like Walker substantively on the issues more, but maybe we need confrontation against the Left more than perfect agendas right now. Trump’s agenda isn’t perfect but it’s enough to get me excited. To me, Trump may be the only one to break the Clinton machine. That would put years on my life to see that.

One big problem I heard Walker talk about was a gay marriage amendment. People don’t think these things through. Who will enforce such an amendment? Nobody but your friendly feds. How would they feel about a gay marriage amendment? They’d love it because now, the whole marriage issue has been constitutionally put in the feds’ lap to completely screw it up LEGITIMATELY.

The feds have NO constitutional grounds for meddling with marriage. Dang man, we need to get back to the Constitution as the rule of law in our land (the definition of a free country as opposed to the rule of the whims of man which is tyranny).

The story of the 20th century is a story of the feds breaking free of it constitutional chains using every phony doctrine in the book and the American People going along with it (sounds like Adam and Eve being tempted in the garden by Satan himself). The flawed and invalid “Incorporation Doctrine” has lead to most of the political parade of horribles including the feds phony and invalid justification for forcing their will on the states regarding school prayer, abortion, and now sodomite marriage. Somewhere along the line we need leaders who UNDERSTAND and will REINSTATE the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended as the Supreme Law of the Land.

Trump is so confrontational and IMO, it’s time for the Right to be absolutely confrontational. Trump wins on that score IMO. I wish it was Walker in Trump’s body.

Walker really connects with average people. He had three statewide elections in Wisconsin and won each time even though the left threw everything nationally they had at him. You cannot do that as a poor communicator.

Walker's style is one of reason and balance. He loves to answer with his own questions and he brings people along by making them think, which always leads to conservatism.

We want a mouth, like Trump or Cruz, because we have been beaten down so long and so much that we want to strike back in anger.

We cannot win that way. Trump and Cruz energize the base, but really do not appeal to the masses as much as many FReepers think they do.

Walker will appear to be the "reasonable" candidate that everyone cannot dislike. He is folksy and connects with the working man who does not read politics all day.

As he did in Wisconsin, where Walker won the blue collar Democrats, he will do nationally.

The last fact is that the Cruz naysayers cannot point to one action that Walker took as governor that is not conservative. Everything Walker did was perfect with our agenda. So, some of the Cruz fanatics go to liberal sources instead.

I hope so. But when it came time last night for Walker to answer what he thought of Hillary, he kind of didn’t even answer. Hannity had to answer his own question and Walker agreed. Meanwhile Trump takes every opportunity to declare Hillary as the worst SoS ever. Why not? It’s absolutely true.

I don’t think Trump would ever play second fiddle, but I wonder if a Trump/Walker ticket would work.

If Walker can communicate and connect with Americans anywhere near the way Reagan did, that would be awesome. (He just needs to lose the marriage amendment thing IMO.)

If you took a poll of people here today, I think it would be close between Cruz and Trump, with Walker in third. Would not be surprised at all if Trump placed first.

Attacks on Cruz, once unheard of save by birther idiots and a tiny number of people who violently hate all lawyers, are growing more common. There a lot of protectionists here that were pissed he supported TPA like most conservatives, I don’t agree with them.

But in a way it’s good he’s not off limits, we don’t need a cult of personality for ANYONE. But a lot of people seem to have the psychological need for a political messiah.

I would like to document the proof I stated at the beginning of the thread.

This week (July 13 - 17, 2015) Rush has been promoting Scott Walker everyday, except Tuesday. On Tuesday the big news was about the Iran deal.

On Wednesday, out of the clear blue he uttered "Scott Walker, Carly Fiorina" three times after he talked about Planned Parenthood.

On Thursday, after talking about some issue, he uttered "Scott Walker" out of the clear blue again.

On Friday, he played audio of Scott Walker on the Kelly File and mentioned that Trump and Walker were leading in the polls.

Other presidential candidates he mentioned this week were Jeb Bush (negatively) and Dr. Ben Carson (audio on the Kelly File right after Walker's).
