This is the problem when people
place their trust on a human pope
instead of God alone.
Sola scriptura.
Sola fide.
Sola gratia.
Solo Christo.
Soli Deo Gloria.
No pope!
Just an offhand observation:
Jesus was always talking about ‘stumbling blocks’.
Smartass that he was, wouldn’t the creation of a worldly ‘church’ or ‘congregation’ be the ultimate stumbling block, or ‘rock’, that must finally be negotiated to find true faith?
