I can’t remember...nor do I believe it’s happened in a very long time.

Women do need to be careful, but sometimes life just puts you in these circumstances. When in college I waitresses overnights at Perkins. You get off at odd hours and as a single woman you go home alone.

Maybe she was being careless or maybe she just got off work. My teen boys work at DQ and get off after midnight sometimes. It happens.

Brutal rape; from this I would wonder, as all rape is brutal, is there some cases where rape is not brutal?

As a young woman I was a registered nurse in an inner city Philadelphia hospital. Every work day I was in an inner city parking garage at midnight.

Over the years I have acquired a special set of skills, truly.

After I tracked down and castrated the guy and tied him naked to a light pole, I would tend to my daughter, get her physically and emotionally well, and then convince her of the error of her ways.

Fortunately, my daughter is a good shot with her Springfield XDS compact 9 mm, does NOT go out ALONE after 9 PM, and it not naive. So chances are SLIM of my daughter being involved.

But if a few of these cretins did become public castrata prior to trial, I bet the incidence would go down.

“DeBlasio’s” real name is Wilhelm. He has been feuding with Governor Andrew Cuomo, no great shakes but a fount of common sense compared to this simple-minded leftist (Wilhelm and his wife honeymooned in murderous thief Castro’s Cuba). Cuomo at least appreciates that it won’t take much to lose the golden goose created by Guiliani and Bloomberg; and it is fading fast. Friends who travel to NYC regularly tell me you can see a sea change at the rail and bus terminals, mountains of filth, aggressive vagrants, all the things cleaned up by Mayor Wilhelm’s predecessors are now dirtying back up fast.

How long ago was that? (you don’t have to answer).

Point being, in today’s world you HAVE to have an escort you trust.

Where I work ANYTIME a woman traveling for the company feels unsafe, she can expend money to STAY in a safer hotel, demand a different floor, fly to arrive earlier at higher cost, call a cab, take Uber etc. And Finance cannot say a word to her.

Women should NOT have to do this. Our ‘public servants’ need to get back to PROTECT and serve and REMOVE these people from at-large society. Their brutality and cavalier attitude about it demands it.

It’s like the 70’s have returned to NYC.

All they need now is a blackout.

The DO”J” and Homobola are responsible.
They have given the “green light” to rape and kill,
and the GOP does NOTHING.

I commuted into NYC in the 70s by train. Had to pull the shades down on the New Haven Railroad (between certain streets) in case the thrown projectiles hit the glass windows.

1 AM is really not that late in NYC. Although the PA has always been a scary place.

Someone posting here said the GOP does nothing. What a libel. Why just this week I saw that Speaker Boehner wants to identify and remove Confederate symbols from the Capitol building. And last week, he and Mitch McConnell refused to attend the public White House signing of the trade bill they passed for the President. Gutsy moves that benefit us all, eh? These two know how to appeal to the “base” - of course, they think the “base” is the Chamber of Commerce, the Business Roundtable and the press.

This happened prior to the Stars and Bars being taken down in S. Carolina, right?
The removal of the flag was supposed to bring peace across the Land. /s

I know. Grew up there. My daughter lives in Hoboken. she is however a realist.

IF it’s after 9 PM, it’s a group.

Penn Station remains the same; it’s a dump just like the Port Authority. The only nice one is GCS - which of course is because it’s the original building and quite impressive.

How old is your daughter? I went out alone after 9 in the bad old 70s and 80s. Most NYC streets (as well as Hoboken, etc) are pretty busy in the early evening.

She is nearly 22, but going OUT after 9 (quite common) means coming back at later hours, and not always at the same time to the same place. While she has a concealed carry permit here in Ga, it is useless in NJ.

It’s a condition Yellow thing. (cooper’s colors)
