Seattle City council has already announced new zoning rules that are coming to Seattle. This is about eliminating single family zoning, height restrictions, restrictions on how many people can live in a single unit.
They said that where three story apartments are allowed, there will be six stories, where there are six story apt buildings, there will be seven and the single family zoning will be almost completely eliminated.
I was in the nail salon when the changes were announced on TV. There was an audible gasp in the salon and then a sigh of relief as the announcer said it was for Seattle. This was in the very left leaning Bellingham.
