Ted Cruz Calls Out Latino Media

Doesn't give Republicans or conservatives "a fair shake"

In an interview with Univision's Jorge Ramos (which was deceptively edited in its rebroadcast), Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz called out the Latino media for failing to give Republicans and conservatives a "fair shake."

When Ramos pushed back, Cruz asked Ramos how many times during Barack Obama's presidency he'd discussed on air the ways in which the Hispanic community has been hurt by the Obama economy. Here's the exchange:

TED CRUZ: The media, the Latino media I think doesn’t give Republicans or Conservatives a fair shake.

JORGE RAMOS, HOST: We’re talking. We have all the time in the world to talk to you. We talk all the time...

TED CRUZ: ...You and I have had the opportunity to talk, but what I’m pointing out is when I’m not on the show. What's covered in the news on a daily basis. The story that is told has a political agenda.

JORGE RAMOS: Not really. People are fearful that you might be deporting a lot of people. That’s the concern.

TED CRUZ: For example, Jorge. How many discussions have you all had on air, that in the last six and a half years, the Hispanic community has been profoundly hurt by the Obama economy? Hispanic unemployment has gone up, Hispanic teenage unemployment has gone up. We have the lowest percentage of Americans working today, in any year since 1978. Median wages have stagnated, they're the same as they were 20 years ago.

Does the ‘Latino community’ ever intend on assimilating into society so as to become part of the ‘American community’? Or does Mr. Cruz forever have to address them as one group separate from all the rest?

The truth needs to get to the rank-and-file somehow. The Latino’s have probably been lied to almost as much as the blacks have been.

It looks to me like Mr. Cruz is making some good headway in that area. If real progress is going to me made to unite those who want America to succeed, this is a perfect starting point. Kudos to Mr. Cruz for going down this road.

As much as Ii don’t want that liberal in the presidency, it am all o him handed, the GOP and the Dems their ass on a gold plated Trump platter.

What really kills me is that it had to be him instead of a conservative doing it. But I guess only Nixon could go to China.

No, seriously.

Hope that dog hunts. No use for a dog that can’t hunt. That’s like having a President that can’t lead.

Trump is right on his border stuff. The problem is going to come after this blows over because lets face it, every few months this becomes the cause of the moment and people get all mighty and beating their chests...and then elect WHOEVER the GOP fronts ‘no matter what’ even when that ‘what’ hires them for his own house and get caufght twice with the same illegals. So much for their patriotic border security foot stomping...

Cruz has depth beyond red meat. Thought he can do red meat with the best of them as well. And the sooner people stop fawning over a reality show campaign the better. Cruz and Trump arent unknown commodities. They both have histories. People need to read them.

I have my doubts they care though. See illegal house servants above.

Never give an interview with a Liberal without your own cameras rolling!

DoD learned that over 30 years ago, and now it’s policy.

Our USAF Customer Commander was ambushed by NBC.

Ted...Ted....Ted.... Make that into a Political Ad and play it, sporadically, in all the Latino media markets for as long as you are in the race for the White House. And you can do it in English!
