I have zero problem with Cruz for 10 years as POTUS.
But only Trump can get the ball rolling for the first term, even if it is only 2 years.
Rand Paul WAS expected to do well in Iowa. His best supporters have already gone for other candidates. I thought he might be top three in Iowa, but this far out he’s looking like an also-ran.
We’ll see if he can recover some during the debates.
Yup, and there is no reason why Trump/Cruz could not announce this before the election. There would be much wailing from MSM :-)
Trump would serve as President for 2 years...and go back to his businesses.
Cruz would serve for 12 years, two as VP and 10 as President.
Palin would serve 10 years as VP and be well seasoned to do another 8 as president.
Palin could be the candidate for president in 2028 and could serve 8 years...taking us through 2036.
If it’s not Trump or Cruz, then as far as I’m concerned the Republicans can go “F” themselves...not that I would vote commie D.
“As an addendum, the ones who peak early have a tendency to decline over time.
Not saying that is so in this case but there is plenty of history to indicate it just may well be.”
My thoughts exactly. I have never seen the frontrunner at this stage of things win the nomination. So much of this is name recognition and the “anger” vote.
That said, I’m glad Trump is in it , speaking out and not backing down. If he is the nominee, I will vote for him. Other than my number 1. Cruz I can’t say that about anyone else.
Carly impressed my wife during a fairly tough Fox interview, and she handle some of the got you questions from beltway republican panel.
What a Dream ! A Fantasy even. Trump/Cruz/Palin. I like it!
If yer gonna dream...DREAM BIG! :-)
I do YouGov polls all the time but the only ones they ever send me are about products and services. Really aggravating and don’t know why.
Here is a scenario to ponder. Trump is the only candidate that would order the opening up of sealed records on the bam and his true identity. Just that alone makes him winning worth it.
Of course they show her respect. Gov. Palin and Trump are friends and Cruz was supported by Gov. Palin. She is still much loved by those who value Conservatism.
I trust Cruz, Trump is more of a question mark. But the “Trump effect” can do nothing but good. I see “head nodders” that used to nod towards the left, now nodding when he makes his talking points. He’s reaching the people in the middle.
He seems to be showing political spine, will he follow through, I don’t know. But he’s certainly taken the idea that accommodating the left reaches moderates, and buried it six feet under.
If Trump and Cruz had the right relationship and understanding between each other, I think the fire of the one and the foundation of the other could do some very big things. I’m careful about getting my hopes up too far about anything these days. And it *is* early.
Yes, Trump is a question mark. After all he has no record of actually running for political office. But then consider...
> He is nearing 70 years age. Men at that age rarely have more money as priority. If one is mega rich and mega famous, what is the next goal? LEGACY!
> Trump has not backed downed and put tail between legs unlike so many republican professional politicians when attacked by media.
> Even after 6 to 9 businesses have severed business collaborations with Trump, Trump has not flinched.
> If Trump has half the assets he claims, the next 45 generations of Trumps can inherit $100 million each. He needs more money or fame like a hole in the head.

If I had the ear of their PR, I’d suggest Cruz and Trump have a “debate” of their own. Hold it in a historic bar, a nice place, lots of old polished wood and just record them talking about the future over Sam Adams for thirty minutes with occasional comments or questions from working joes and small businessmen looking on and listening. Unscripted. A situation terrifying to a leftist candidate.
I think it would bust the TV ratings wide open.
