I don’t know if kids can refuse a custody arrangement? I thought it was determined during the divorce (hopefully with both parents on board and abiding by the rules). I just think jailing kids in a criminal institute for something like this is putting a band aid on the real problem.

As stated, it’s not “criminal”, it’s basically like a foster holding pen/orphanage.

Custody can be changed, not just at the divorce. Happened for my brother.

I don’t know about child refusals.
