Have you been to a sporting goods store lately? They are awash in ammo, including finally now, .22. Cabelas gas as much, if not more ammo now than before the Newtown scare.

Years ago, many weapons were stolen from National Guard armories. Losing ammo in the same way would likely go unreported.
