The first Republican to fly to Oregon and hold a press conference with Melissa and Aaron Klein will get my vote.
To undo the eight years of the Obama era will take more than right thinking. It will take some in-your-face moral bravado. And a good place for a candidate to show it will be on a scaffold in the public square of Portland, Oregon.
As the reader may know, the Kleins operated a storefront bakeshop, Sweet Cakes by Melissa, in that very nearly godless environment.
In February 2013, these Christian parents of five refused to bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple. The lesbians promptly filed a civil rights complaint against the Kleins, and their supporters set out to cripple their business.

Frankly I don’t want a man who thinks he can get elected running from photo op to photo op, I want a man who stands for all Americans.
The “State” of Oregon is a F*CKING JOKE! Oregon and Washington have and are 110% Calipornicated! ALL decent People should MOVE AWAY(and leave you SCREWED UP “ideas”)!
“I want a man who stands for all Americans.”
The Kleins are more than a photo-op. As far as I’m concerned anyone who doesn’t stand with them against Oregon’s bureaucratic tyranny isn’t fit to serve as dogcatcher.
The Kleins aren’t the only ones facing this attack and no candidate will be able to do anything if they spend their time running from one victim to the next.
A man who stands up for religious freedom and against judicial tyranny will do most for the Kleins and all others.
That man isn’t running for office.
“The Kleins arent the only ones facing this attack...”
You are correct, but they are the first to be attacked with this level of severity. Now is the time to push back against this, this situation is not going to blow over. I see your point about candidates not being able to run from one state to another as this persecution increases, but now is the time to at least say something.
Certainly some of these “Great Conservative Hopes” can spare a minute or two to say something about a pair of Christians being fined $135K by a bureaucrat for their beliefs?
I think it’s going to take more than campaign speeches to defend the Kleins, and, by extension, our rights to live pervert-free. We need to show the fags that Obergefell was a bridge too far.
I’d prefer someone who stands up for justice and the first amendment in the face of liberal government tyranny.
Where are all our Christian presidential candidates?
