Pretty much the only honorable and trusted crew down there. Cartels hate the Mexican Marines. In 100 years when the history of this narco-insurgency is written, they’ll be seen as one of the few good guys.

Since the Mexican Army has been infiltrated by the cartels the Marines are used to clean house.

We didn’t have open borders under Bush, and before that?

The Mexican Marines are the good guys. Maybe only the few good ones left down there. If anybody is to save that wretched country from the cartels and the corrupt politicians, it is them.
Pretty soon, that job will be left to our Marines, up here....
