California Bill Would Ban Naming State, Local Sites For Confederate Leaders

By RUBEN VIVES A state senator introduced a bill this week that would prohibit the naming of state and local properties after Confederate leaders.

The measure would affect two elementary schools -- one in Long Beach and another in San Diego -- which were named after Robert E. Lee, commander of the Army of Northern Virginia for the Confederate States of America.

Under the proposed law, the two schools would have to be renamed within the next two years.

State Sen. Steve Glazer (D-Orinda) introduced SB 539, known as the Frederick Douglass Liberty Act. The bill is being supported by Senate Minority Leader Bob Huff (R-San Dimas).

Maybe we should pass a similar law for Texas secessionists from the 19th century. I.e. No more Daniel Boone Elementary School in San Diego or Alamo Elementary School in Vacaville.

WOW. And finally the streets of LA, Oakland, Watts, Compton, Pico Rivera, El Cajon, Fresno, Bakersfield... WILL all be quite and safe because the feral yutes won’t have to be exposed to confederate flags on Dukes of Hazzard reruns and going to a school named for a confederate general.

Will they get rid of everything named for KKK Byrd?

This is just getting incredibly stupid. The leftists want to control everything. As if banning the Confederate flag or making it illegal to name something after a Confederate soldier would have stopped the idiot from opening fire in a church and killing even just one black person.
