I don't think so. The gal was the aggressor, striking him. He had every right not to take it, and use force to defend himself. That having been said, he did use excessive force. But it looks like he didn't strike her with a fist, but was holding something that struck her. Otherwise she would have been knocked out cold. In any event, both were fired for violence in the workplace. No arrests necessary.
Wrong answer. Try reading the article at the link. The police said self-defense and gave him a chance to press charges.
