Y’know, Nixon only talked about doing this kind of stuff. Why aren’t we having a Sam Ervin pound these criminals day after day on all the networks? OK - I know why - but I don’t have to be happy about it. ;-(

There are a couple of salient differences between the threat to impeach Nixon and the lawlessness of the 0bama regime. The first and obvious one is that Nixon was a Republican and therefore the democrat/communist media/academia propaganda complex was out to destroy him simply because of his political stripe.

Less noticed though is that America has changed in the meantime. The most relevant change is that in the 40 years since Watergate, the federal government of the United States has grown so large, so pervasive, so omnipotent and omnipresent in the daily lives of every American citizen, that it no longer recognizes any restraint in it’s power over the people. Nor do the various feudal dukedoms of the federal bureaucracy, each one having its own military, recognize any control or restraint from any other branch of government. The Rule of Law is dead, and we now have a government that no longer serves the people, but rules over them. The TEA Party would take away the power (and jobs) from the bureaucrats who comprise this all-powerful government. Therefore, the TEA Party is the enemy, and must be suppressed. And with the help of the democrat/communist media/academia propaganda complex, who willingly vilified the TEA Party at every turn, the government has done exactly that.

Hobbes would be proud. The Leviathan is here in a way he never dreamed.
