DHS dodges 'sanctuary city' question after illegal immigrant kills Calif. woman
The Washington Examiner ^ | July 6th, 2015 | By Pete Kasperowicz

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson declined to say Monday whether cities offering "sanctuary" to dangerous illegal immigrants are posing a safety threat in the United States, just days after a criminal alien who was given sanctuary in San Francisco shot and killed a California woman.

Johnson was asked if the death of Kathryn Steinle last Thursday proved that sanctuary cities were part of the problem when it comes to removing dangerous immigrants. But Johnson didn't answer directly, and instead said generally that the federal government is slowly starting to work more effectively with state and local governments on deportation matters.

"In my view, this type of situation highlights the importance of the direction where we are headed," he said when asked about the California murder.

His first answer was, “what difference does it make?” “Hey, it worked in the past.”

It’s hard to tell from all the usual equivocation tossed out by the most transparent administration ever, but it sounds like ... are they talking about flushing (deporting) this Mexiturd a sixth time?

"are they talking about flushing (deporting) this Mexiturd a sixth time?"

At this point what difference does it make?

And why doesn’t the federal government go after the sanctuary city the way they went after Arizona, saying that immigation policies are under the domain of the federal government?

And why doen’t they withhold federal funds to any sanctuary city?

We know the answer.

Did you expect a straight answer from Johnson? Has he ever given a straight answer for anything? What’s your name maybe but that’s about it...

IMO if Trump hadn’t been so outspoken about this young woman’s death all of this would have been swept under the rug with nary a peep out of the press.

I have maintained for some time that the reason the US is teeming with illegal aliens is because the government wants them here. It's really that simple. Heck, they encourage it every way they can, and it goes back several administrations. Bozo didn't start it, he just put it into overdrive. The only thing they haven't done is admit what they are doing, thus depriving the chumpizens (us) the satisfaction of making sense of it all. I mean surely the government wouldn't do that?

Hard to believe, but O'Reilly got it right tonight when he traced back to Reagan's amnesty. Most citizens of Mexican descent I know today are products of the '68 give away...anyone who expects them to support controls is kidding themselves no matter what fiat legal immigrants may claim.

But I have another thought: masses are enacting/demanding removal of all symbols of Confederate existence, flags, statues, and traditions, because of one freak who actually identified with Rhodesia and South Africa apartheid; why does no one demand that Mexican flags be scourged from American display following a 5 time deportee's murder of an innocent in San Francisco??

Former MI Gov. Jennifer Granholm’s administration was building a list of what they called, “Cool Cities”. I believe it was also a cover for sanctuary cities. She was born in Canada and guess where she lives now? Yep... California.

For the Obama administration, the resolution of the illegal crime problem is to have Congress pass a comprehensive immigration bill that will dissolve the border, and grant amnesty to thirty million illegals. Then, it would become an American crime problem exclusively, only to be resolved by taking all the guns from non-criminals. It is so clear.

I heard on FOX this a.m. another illegal smashed into a car with a mom and three very small children. The small children suffered head injuries. Don't remember what they said about the mom.
The illegal claims he was just high on pot. This illegal, of course, had been deported numerous times.

Had this illegal not been here, that family would be happy and healthy right now.

Checked FOX on line but didn't see the article posted yet.

Yeah. Why bother with the hassle and expense? The TSA is unnecessary. If a rouge element wants to kill Americans, all it has to do is stroll across the border. They'll be welcomed with open arms. In fact, Americans will treat them so well, they'll never have to work another day of their life and they'll still have more than they'd ever need.
