Many legal but despicable acts have been committed by people who justify it with the old saying “Business is business”

I guess I could never succeed in business because I can’t justify anything that just feels wrong to me.

I know any number of people “in business” who have and use a moral compass, and it hasnt hurt them a bit.

Yep. I have heard this from people who justify their own self-interested un-Christian behavior at work - but then show up in Church. If you don't follow your principles and beliefs 24/7 (or at least try to), then you really aren't committed to these principles or beliefs.
