The unintended consequence of this, however, would be that the prevailing liberal/"moderate" coalition would keep liberals on the Court and remove conservatives. Does anyone here really think Thomas, Scalia, or Alito would survive retention votes?

Agreed, Sadly I no longer trust the intelligence of the American people.. They can very easily be swayed and manipulated
