Must respectfully disagree.

I agree with you that Viet Nam can become an ally that, along with ROK, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Japan, can become an alliance that counterbalances the hegemonic desires of China. Barack Hussein Obama is not the man to form such an alliance; Presidents Cruz, Walker, or Fiorina would be much better choices. In the meantime, Viet Nam isn't going anywhere politically, and there are numerous openings for private, NGO, and quasi-government initiatives there.

Yup, and yup again. And there is a lot of western business and manufacturing there already. The lenses for my Pentax DSLR are both made in Vietnam, for example. And Ho Chi Minh city is so commercialized it almost looks like the Saigon of old.
