We’ve never armed the Kurds. The YPG are the only honest players on the field, but their objective (a free, independent Kurdistan) is not supported by anyone.
There are three indigenous players in Syria: Assad, the YPG and the ‘rebels.’ The only thing is, there are no rebels; only ISIS (at the time, known as AQP). So who were we supposed to be arming again?
