Newport Inglewood fault caused the 1933 Long Beach earthquake.

That was a big one. But, a huge number of deaths were attributed to the large number of brick building that collapsed.

Today, all brick buildings must be reinforced.

My house suffered the most damage in an earthquake from the Whittier fault. [many years ago]

My mom remembers her baby brother bouncing up and down in his crib from that earthquake.

That fault runs through the heart of Los Angeles a 7.0 would devastate LA.
