They have two children and plan to get married in 2017. Why not celebrate their lucky escape by moving the wedding date to 2015?

Some men understand their duty when something as horrific as this happens.

Very lucky young couple, indeed.
What a true nightmare they survived.

They had TWO children but weren't MARRIED???? OMG!!! What the HELL has happened to this world? Where were the two kids??? Maybe he would be still alive had they been married and they were on a different beach that catered to KIDS instead of adults!
Saddest part of this story is them not being married.

I get that folks think they are helpless in these situations. This guy just “took it” so his fiancée could live. But what if just two able-bodied people just started doing something back?
Throw rocks, bottles, cans of soda, radios—anything. If only to make getting away a little easier.
Nobody wants a bullet to the face, I know. But...we are so conditioned to just give in and suffer for it. Situations like these are civilized individuals’ one big excuse to chimpanzee-crazy against a bad-guy!

Jeez some of you people need to lighten up. So what if he wasn't married yet. He took a bullet for her, several apparently. At least when the time came to choose between life and death he manned up and was counted. I'd like to see some of those here who are lambasting them for not being married do at least as well and not pee their pants and run off to leave her to her fate.
