In a theoretical world, perhaps. Unfortunately the other side of this question is that laws you think you understand don’t actually say what they say. So yes, while it should imply that, don’t hold your breath. If it’s distasteful to whatever two-bit tyrant happens to be around, it won’t happen.

Nice but there should be no need to argue Our constitution already prohibits any infringements on our right to keep and bear arms. This was a central matter in the founding of our nation. We “only” need to get judges honest enough to follow the constitution they’re sworn to uphold and protect. Honesty in government these days is a rare commodity, alas. We seem to get more and more liars, bigots, and thieves. Basic honesty seems to have gone out of style. Pray for America.
