A distinctly and unnecessarily low-class sort of statement. Fox makes itself look cheap. Also, the announced replacements are mostly viewed as socialist propaganda shills rather then newsmen. Fox hiring like this destroys its remaining credibility

The underlying message us that he has fallen off the wagon too many times

I heard him talk about his life onetime and he had dad issues big time

I just wonder if he will survive this

They seem to have this woman Julie Rodinsky (sp?) taking the "Liberal" seat on The Five.

She's tolerable so far.

About time.
Good riddance to a hate mongering leftist slob.

We gave up watching The Five because his antics, boorishness and hate for conservatives became too much to put up with.

Back in 2013 Beckel called well meaning people who support voter ID laws “Crackers” and FOX let it pass .

That was too much for us.

Now that he is history we sometimes watch The Five again.

He took tremendous advantage of our generosity, empathy and goodwill and we simply came to the end of the road with him

As most addicts do.... Maybe The Four should have done an intervention for Bob. On air. I wish him luck in his struggle against addiction. Won't miss his dissembling and rationalizing on behalf of the Democrats.

FNC’s treatment of Beckel is a little surprising, given their handling of Gregg Jarrett when he suffered addiction issues last year.

As you’ll recall, Jarrett disappeared from the weekend shift in 2014. Turns out he was in an alcohol treatment facility in Minnesota, then went on a bender at the Minneapolis airport after being released. He was detained by police before being released.

After that, Roger Ailes arranged for him to enter a treatment center in California and asked his co-anchor, Julie Banderas, to arrange “discreet” transportation to California and even assigned a Fox producer to fly with him. Throughout his recovery, Jarrett kept getting paid and he’s now back at work.

Again, each situation is different. But the handling of Beckel’s case and Jarrett’s situation seems vastly different.

Juan Williams and Geraldo Rivera are by far worst than Beckel. Fox is nuts.

Bob Becker, the bloated bloviating butt-monkey bigoted bastard who begets bullshit but breeds billious back biting and bather with boastful basphemy,

Juan Williams and Geraldo Rivera? You must be joking. I quit FOX because of Juan racist liberal views. Couldn’t stand Jerry back in the 70s and can’t stand him now.

Instead of replacing Bob Beckel, FNC might have considered replacing the executive who made decision to terminate him (reportedly Bill Shine). I hope Beckel is able to challenge his termination in court. Even though The Five has other strong participants, Beckel was among the strongest, both individually and in his contribution to the dynamics of the group. To allow such a strong presence, and purportedly also a friend, to pass from the scene without comment on the program, lowers both my opinion of The Five as a program and my esteem for the program’s regular participants and producers. I think I’ll take a break from The Five for a while. They might not be able to attract her to such a program, but Kirsten Powers would add more to the lineup on The Five than any of the currently used liberal replacements for Beckel.
