A long time friend of mine and his wife had been trying to conceive for eight years since they were married. They have since been going the adoption route for 3 years. Two days before Christmas they rec'd a call from the Catholic agency in town that a baby was available - from an unwed mother, father was known to her, but was older, was all they were told. Now they have a happy, healthy and beautiful 6 month old daughter, adopted into a family with many cousins, aunts uncles and grandparents who will make sure she wants for nothing. My “father” was a travelling salesman who got her pregnant, which was probably statutory rape, but those were different times. Her father would’ve literally killed her had he found out, so she went to another state to a home for unwed mothers until I was born.
There is a lot of redemption and blessings in adoption. I’ve seen a barren couple adopt and suddenly they’re having biological kids. Docs don’t know why. Faith precedes miracles and miracles do happen.
