How John Roberts abandoned conservatives
The Week ^ | June 25, 2015 | Matt K. Lewis

On Thursday, the Supreme Court delivered another major victory to ObamaCare, voting 6-3 in King v. Burwell to uphold the subsidies at the heart of the sweeping health care reform law. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts — appointed by George W. Bush, and once a beloved figure on the right — wrote the majority opinion, joined by the court's liberal wing and swing Justice Anthony Kennedy.

This isn't the first time Roberts has sided with the left on ObamaCare. And as a result, my fellow conservatives are comparing Roberts quite ignominiously to David Souter.

/src on/Roberts has matured on the job./src off/. Next time some Dauphin Bush lackey tells me I need to vote for the Dauphin in Nov 2016 because of SCOTUS appointments, I will throw back Roberts and Souter back at him. The Bush dynasty is averaging a coin flip on these appointments or worse if one remembers Bush the Younger initially wanted Harriett Miers.

“Congress passed the Affordable Care Act to improve health insurance markets, not to destroy them,” Roberts wrote in the majority opinion.

Yet the healthcare system is being destroyed. You have $10,000 deductables and high monthly payments before you get that FREE healthcare and you are getting less choices like who your doctor can be and what procedures are provided let alone needed. There are DEATH lists like in England and elsewhere in socialized countries. I suspect Roberts and others were bribed . John Boenher bought or was given stock in healthcare companies in December 2009. He and others have made millions off the suffering.

Congress made itself immune from obamacare so they do not care period.

The wave of unemployment happened because of obamacare and is still ongoing. The company I work at has fired thousands and is still laying off people directly because of obamacare. The state exchanges are broke, never worked, they cannot even create a website that works. The only ones making money are the insiders who get huge bonuses like in California for doing a very poor job.

It’s not so much he abandoned conservatives as he abandoned his own philosophy.

Congress did not legitimately pass Obamacare anyway.

Fedgov is illegitimate.
They do not have the consent of the governed.

They rule by the club, and some day soon, we’re just gonna say “bring it”.

If the Republicans win the presidency in 2016, I would call for an investigation into Roberts. Investigate how he was able to adopt the two kids.

I see Roberts as "damaged goods." He should be investigated, and if found to do anything illegal, forced to resign from the court. Hopefully a President Cruz can replace Roberts with a more honorable man.

He's practicing his philosophy, and he's pretty open about it.

IF 0bamacare had a provision that all white people over 80 cannot receive health care, the compromised Justice Roberts would hold it as constitutional.
