I believe this was in the short period of time before hostilities started.
In that time, Remington ceased shipping guns to the South, but COLT shipped as many south as they could before the fireworks started.

Then the South started relying on ENGLAND to fill gun needs, and ship building.
Since England was complicit with the South, why do the race baiters give the Union Jack a pass?
