The Confederate flag did not cause the church murders. What flag symbol caused all the black against white violence in Ferguson or Baltimore? A flag isn't to blame in any of these cases. By the way, do you know the Bible has nothing to say in opposition to the institution of slavery? Paul met a runaway slave, Onesimus, the property of a Christian -- presumably Philemon. He sent the slave back to his owner rather than give the slave sanctuary. Paul seems to hint that he would like Philemon to give Onesimus his freedom, but does not actually request it. In his Letter to Philemon, he had every opportunity to condemn slave-owning, but declined to do so. Paul apparently saw no evil in the concept of one person owning another.

If we just get rid of that confederate flag, we will all get along and Obama will become a great unifying leader. /s

I will say I am just a recent immigrant to the south, but this bothers me.
Everyone is getting completely over the top, carried away I believe.
Just saying.

In Tennessee, political leaders from both parties said a bust of Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Confederate general and an early Ku Klux Klan leader, should be moved out of the State House. Hallelujah!
Then West Virginia should rename every building named after KKK Grand Kleagle Robert Byrd.
What is a Kleagle anyway. Half Klansman half beagle?

The agenda of the Left always advances.
It is breathtaking.
What will the next item be?
The murdered nine in Charleston are already forgotten.
The Left has made this all about a 150 year old symbol that has no power to hurt anyone in 2015.
The GOP is fueling the fire, thinking it will appease the Left.
The Left is never satisfied.
And the GOP never learns.

It makes you wonder how the subject got changed so quickly and why. It’s like the church shooting has gone down the memory whole. Is there something stinky about that church that they’re so in a hurry to move on? Something political? They said that pastor of the church was political.

I hope all those clamoring for the removal of the flag don’t take off on that State Holiday in many states Confederate Memorial Day.

The new State Religion is Political Correctness.
No established Religion is protected and most are under assault by this State Religion
When seeking answers to societal ills, such as the racism that fueled the murders in S. Carolina, the State is quick to jump on a flag as the motivation, when it is actually the Godlessness of the culture.
When trying to determine right from wrong the State demands we not refer to Religious teachings, but rather the State mandated Political Correctness.

The people pushing this know damned well this has nothing to do with banning a symbol of racism.
The Confederate flag as it is flown is a symbol of state sovereignty.
The effort to ban the Confederate flag is just another example of the Statists stomping their boots on the face of anyone who tries to escape the iron fist of the federal leviathan.
Remember when the Left used to oppose censorship?
