THIS is what betrayal hath wrought.
You’re right..we don’t trust politicians, not even those who have been “on our side” for years and years.
Now, the hunger for an honest talker is incredible. I don’t want a Trump to be president but I absolutely love that he doesn’t need anyone’s money or admiration. And I love it that he tells it like it is without worry.
He could actually give some of our guys some courage. I like it that he’s out there.
I don’t know how Trump’s candidacy will play out, but if he would put together well thought out positions on trade and immigration and economic growth, and still be loud and blunt, but without the occasional over-the-top remark, The Donald might surge to the top in many states and be a major contender for the Republican nomination.
New Hampshire rarely matters, and rarely rewards conservatives.
"You know what happened to all those folks who invested in my Trump Hotels and Casinos???
Well, once I'm elected, that is EXACTLY WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN TO THE MEXICANS AND CHINESE!!!!"
If you say ‘American jobs for American workers’, voters will come running to you. It’s that simple. Bernie Sanders is working along the same lines on the left, with similar results.

This is so sad. So unspeakably sad.
Simple name recognition—Trump and Bush.
...don't know what kind of POTUS he would make, who he will have as his cabinet and appointees, but he sure wouldn't stand for any b.s. because ‘nobody’ owns him....
It’s a tease poll. Doesn’t mean a thing.
Trump is a scummy New York Yankee and unfit to have a leadership position in America
The fact he is a New Yorker is reason enough to be excluded from rational consideration
After than TPA vote today Trump is going to really start looking good. If he runs on jobs he has a good chance.
Ut oh....folks aren’t going to like this, around here :-)
I met with a diversified group, this past weekend, including a few 0bie voters who are now supporting Trump...fwiw.
NH also likes Bernie Sanders and the Greens....
it is 11%? How is that a surge? How does that mean ... anything? He gets 1 in 10 and people act like there’s the groundswell of support?
Bizarre.
Say what you will about Trump but he’s very vocal and hitting hard on two key issues which the stupid Republicans should get a clue from: illegals/building a wall and anti-TPP and bringing back jobs to America.
Pretty fast in only 5 days since his announcement.
Even though I’m a registered republican and almost always vote that way, I’m really a conservative first.
Speaking for myself, I would vote for Trump over most of the other potential republican candidates. (I crossed Cruse off my list over FTA, but I still like Walker) I’m willing to give Walker a pass on the trade thing because he didn’t have the luxury of reading it.
I agree with the poster that contended that Trump would be strong against Hillery...
Keep it in mind that the people who follow politics are not the ones that are going to elect the next president. It’s going to be the ones on the double digit side of the bell curve that will choose.
