Unfortunately the flag that is so strongly associated with the Ku Klux Klan is the confederate battle flag, not the Stars n Bars.
Perhaps if some good ol boys had intervened and knocked some heads when they saw their symbol being appropriated by the klanners...

There are some bad southerners in the mix as well - Joe Scarborough being one of them.

I probably didn't make my meaning clear in my usage of the term "Northeasterners". I'm just wanting to convey the fact that these people controlling the airwaves have the dominant opinions of the New York and Boston Urban mindset, and not that of most of the rest of the nation.
Our cultural "elite" tell them what to think.
No offense intended towards Northeasterners in general, it's just that the Nation's power class resides mostly there. (And to a lesser extent in San Fransisco.)
