It was a small Bible study/prayer meeting after a church business meeting in a room, not the sanctuary. He allegedly asked who the pastor was and said he wanted to sit by him. It is my understanding the pastor/senator was the first one shot. The Bible study was about an hour and he waited until they were finished, then pulled out his gun and stood up and started shooting. All killed were shot multiple times.

.....................................................................

I’ve read a lot of these threads and continue to be surprised at the number of people who don’t have a clue as to what a “Bible study” is. Of course Wednesday night is a regular for me, I know where I’m going to be on most Wed. nights.

On one of the earlier threads, one commenter kept asking about the fact that it was unusual to him that they weren’t even having a “Mass”, just couldn’t get it why a small group of people would get together on a Wed. night to pray and study the Bible - No sermon or Mass. Also that they would welcome a stranger, with open arms and no suspicion.
