WikiLeaks Says It's Leaking Over 500,000 Saudi Documents
AP via ABC News ^ | 06/19/15

WikiLeaks is in the process of publishing more than 500,000 Saudi diplomatic documents to the Internet, the transparency website said Friday, a move that echoes its famous release of U.S. State Department cables in 2010.

WikiLeaks said in a statement that it has already posted roughly 60,000 files. Most of them appear to be in Arabic.

There was no immediate way to verify the authenticity of the documents, although WikiLeaks has a long track record of hosting large-scale leaks of government material. Many of the documents carried green letterhead marked "Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" or "Ministry of Foreign Affairs." Some were marked "urgent" or "classified." At least one appeared to be from the Saudi Embassy in Washington.

If genuine, the documents would offer a rare glimpse into the inner workings of the notoriously opaque kingdom. They might also shed light on Riyadh's longstanding regional rivalry with Iran, its support for Syrian rebels and Egypt's military-backed government, and its opposition to an emerging international agreement on Tehran's nuclear program.

Per some of the congressmen that have already read the 28 pages of the 911 report.... It will change America's view of September 11th forever.

In the 28 pages it is said that the FBI has concrete proof (money transfers, emails, bank accounts, etc...) that TOP SAUDI DIPLOMATS along with SAUDI INTELLIGENCE FINANCED and PROVIDED THE LOGISTICS to some of the September 11th, 2001 hijackers.

To be frank this should not come as any surprise since 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia.

The Bushes are in bed with the Saudis. If it ends up being true, nothing will happen because of the relationship of the Sauds with the powers that be.
They have donated 10s of bazillions to terrorism over the years and should be held accountable.
The only problem is someone even worse would take over.
I live in NYC would have loved to see them held responsible.
BTW, do their school textbooks still refer to Jews as less than human? Disgusting.

Oh yeah no doubt... It will be a huge black eye to them.

As for Jeb.... he can go back into retirement where he belongs. To be frank, Jeb’s body language looks like he does not really want to be in this race anyway IMO.

Agree 100% it is disgusting that we're “friends” to a country that to reference Jews as less than human.

I agree about Bush. And I agree that the sauds got away with murder. And I am angry at myself for joining the mob instead of saying, hey, the Sauds were probably part of this.

I vote not. The hoi-polloi don't care, and rightly so. We've watch our Gov't kiss Saudi ass for so long we're numb to it. For heavens sake, we watched them invade Iraq, of all places, as the "response" to 9/11. That Saudi Arabia is a state sponsor of terrorism is nothing new, and our Gov't will continue to protect them from any consequences, no matter what this data dump shows.

The US, both conservative and liberal administrations, cannot live without the Saudis and, to a lesser extent, Pakistan.

In an ideal world, both of those places would be discarded like used toilet paper, but the chief state sponsors of terrorism — primarily Sunni Islamic terrorism — are kept as dear friends by American administrations. More accurately, the Americans are Saudis’ lapdogs and Pakistan is an American lapdog. America barks at Saudis’ enemies, like a loyal lapdog, while Pakistan bites America like a bad spoiled lapdog.

BS

you repeat propaganda from those that have a political agenda

the war in Iraq was precipitated by the invasion of Kuwait. The subsequent war was but a finalization of the continuous war over the ten years or so.

your knowledge is infinitely wrong

I think most of us were all right there with you.

We were too trusting of what we were being told, and did not exercise an enough amount of healthy skepticism as our Founding Fathers instructed us to be.

The good news is that we can finally address the root of the problem instead of attacking symptoms. This also explains why this war on terror has taken longer than World War II in the Information age. Speaking of World War II... the Kamikazes ceased the day Japan surrendered.

I think, for the most part, ISIS/Al-Qaeda will cease the day Saudi Arabia surrenders to us. There may be some pockets of resistance but overall it will stop.

....plus it may actually yield impeachment proceedings for incontrovertible evidence that this administration is treasonous.

We were attacked on 9/11/01 by the irregular armed forces of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

For complex reasons, we then declared war on Afghanistan and Iraq, with doleful results.

Our mortal enemies, in the meantime, sleep safely in their beds in Riyadh and Islamabad.

Good job by Wikileaks.

I find it interesting that wikileaks hasn’t had any large leaks of Russian, Chinese, North Korean, Iranian, Venezuelan, Vietnamese or Cuban documents.

We already know they are bad guys.

What could we learn that we don’t know already?

As far as technology they are still crap as innovators.

They just make clones of everything.

I think it’s because they’re afraid of the bad guys and won’t go after anyone who might hunt them down and do to them what bad guys do. However they are going after the Saudis in this case.
